Yuri Elkaim - Why Less is More

Why Less is More

(Especially When It Comes to Information and Advice)

I have 2 important confessions to make…so be sure to read every word on this page.

First…

If you’re spinning your wheels trying to figure out how to lose weight, how to eat healthy, or how to reach your fitness goals, then you have one of two choices:

1. Keep doing what you’re doing and give time for the necessary changes to kick in…

Or, if that hasn’t worked for an extended period of time, then

2. Try something completely different

That might include not following my advice or my programs. And that’s fine.

Why?

Because you probably have a library of diet books, unused workout programs, subscriptions to other health newsletters, Twitter feeds, and who knows what else.

And you have no idea what to believe or do.

Should you eat fat or not? Is meat good or bad? Is cardio the devil? Is raw the only healthy way to eat? Blah, blah, blah.

Please STOP!

In fact, I’m going to say something pretty bold.

If you’re currently trying to digest a hundred different sources of information I don’t even want you to come back to this site…

Unless of course you think I’m awesome and want to follow my advice.

And it’s not because I don’t appreciate you or want to help you. I’m doing this for your own sanity. It’s impossible to read/watch/listen to all the contradictory opinions and expect to get anywhere.

Yes, there are different paths to the same goal but you need to pick just ONE – at least for now.

Why Would You Do This?

Imagine driving your car every which way just to get the same destination. Doesn’t make much sense. Some routes are quicker and more scenic, while others are stop and go traffic the whole way. You need to choose the route that resonates with you.

The same goes for the information you consume and who you decide to follow. Pick one person (or a few people at most) to listen to with a proven track record of getting results and do exactly what he/she/they say(s). Don’t question it, don’t bother reading differing opinions, and don’t second guess the process.

Just do it.

If your choice is me, then I’m truly grateful.

Here’s a great tool called unroll.me that can help you mass unsubscribe from unnecessary newsletters.

With that said, I have a 2nd confession to make…

Why Would I Do That?

A little while ago, I surveyed all of my clients and followers (maybe you were one of them) and I realized something very profound.

The vast majority of you said that I should “stop promoting other peoples’ programs”.

And then it hit me!

Of course I should stop.

Everything I mentioned above could be washed down the drain if I were to continue sending you elsewhere for your health and fitness solutions.

Why would I do that?

In all honesty, I’m a people pleaser. I’m always willing to help my fellow colleagues with their programs (because they inherently may help you) and so in some cases I recommend them to you. And to be honest, some promotions were with people and businesses I would never again associate with due to their lack of integrity.

But that’s going to stop as of July 1, 2013.

Moving forward, I will only be recommending external programs and solutions to which I currently have no answers or that are complementary to what I currently offer. And at that, these recommendations will be few and far between. You’ve come to me for guidance, solutions, and inspiration – not a pitch fest for other peoples’ stuff.

And please note, I will continue to recommend and sell (with unbridled enthusiasm) my own fitness and nutrition programs because they’re awesome and extremely effective.  I am running a business and I know that those who “buy” my stuff (our clients) are the ones who reach their goals. I want you to be one of them (if you aren’t already).

In the meantime, I’ll continue to update this page with my “Recommended Resources” which you can rest assured will be things completely unique to what I offer and that will help you reach your goals.

For instance, supplements or super foods may fit the bill since we don’t offer any of that stuff in house. But my recommendations for other nutrition or fitness programs will be very few and far between – unless I think that they are absolutely amazing and that they’ll help you out.

So, I want to thank you for your input and your honesty. I want to thank you for feeling that what I create is so good that it insults you when I recommend something else.

You rock!

Now, let’s rock this planet together.

Your friend and coach,
