I don’t want to ramble on about all the health and fitness stuff I’ve done (you can learn more about that on the left side bar).

Instead, I want to take a moment to introduce you to my family.

My girlfriend, Amy, and I have been together for over 5 years and we’ve created a cute little pre-marital family which includes our 2 little monkeys – I mean mini dachsunds – Laila and Jax.

Here is a picture of Amy holding Jax (on the left) and (Laila on the right).

I never thought I would ever want a dog, let alone 2, but I have to say that these guys make my heart hurt big time.

I’ve now become one of the guys who non-dog owners can’t stand.

Sure I spend a good deal of time training and raising them like dogs but I also have a bad habit of “humanizing” these little guys and snuggling with them whenever I can.

Jax is almost 2.5 years old (as of November 2009) and he’s my little buddy. When we was just a little pup, we used to go run hills together and I’d teach him how to jump up onto the curb. It was too cute.

Jax is such a sweet soul. He is really one of the nicest and kindest dogs you could ever imagine. That is after he warms up to you.

He’s very protective and thus put up a tough front but really he’s just 14 pounds so I don’t think he really knows that he’s just a little guy. But thanks anyway buddy for protecting us!

Who knows maybe some day you’ll see him on TV?? He’s even appeared in a number of my youtube videos.

And then there’s Laila…

Laila, is almost 9 months old (as of November 2009) and she is the devil re-incarnated!

Well, not really but she’s just a crazy monster – I love it.

She reminds me of myself when I was a kid. I was a real trouble-maker. Cutting down trees, locking my nanny out of the house, beating up my brother, you name it!

But aside from her puppy craziness, Laila is by far one of the cutest dogs I’ve ever seen!

And that’s not a biased opinion at all!

Both her and Jax love to bury themselves under the covers of our bed. This picture was taken last night. She was so tired and looked so precious just laying in the covers – it was too priceless.

Laila is a very unusual colour. They call it “blue and tan” but her coat really looks like a gun metal. Very similar actually to the colour of my car.

As you can tell, I love my dogs (and Amy of course).

And I’m really grateful for owing my own business as it gives me the time and freedom to take them for walks and just have a good old time playing around.

I’ll occasionally be posting some new happenings with Jax and Laila so if you’re a dog person then you’ll want to stick around for those posts.

If you don’t like dogs, then that’s fine too.
