How Sugar Weakens Your Bones (And Your Health)

Whether it’s Halloween, during a 3pm drop of energy, or just another Friday night, I thought it would be appropriate to dedicate this week to discussing the crushing impact that sugar has on all aspects of your health.

Today, I’ve prepared a special video in which you’ll discover one of the more uncommon dangers of sugar – it’s impact on calcium balance and the health of your bones.

Watch and enjoy.

Tomorrow, we’ll be looking at sugar’s surprising effects on your waistline.

If you’ve got any questions or comments just let me know…

Besides weakening bones I have heard that Sugar feeds cancer cells and increases body acidity wich is equal to getting older faster …. is that right?

Yes, cancer (and most disease) thrives off the anaerobic metabolism of sugar.

Thanks, Yuri. I thought this was a great video. I do have a question, however. You mentioned calcium supplements in this video, but I was wondering what you consider to be the best way to replenish your calcium stores if, say, you decide to indulge in a sugary snack during the holidays. Thanks!

I wouldn’t shovel loads of calcium. Instead, I would focus on eating an alkaline diet (like Eating for Energy) and do regular strength training.
