[NOTE: At the end of this post, I'll be asking for your contribution. I want to know what your #1 health and fitness goal is. I've got a special suprise for you if we get at least 75 comments!]
There’s a bitter reality in this world…
Most of us know what to do BUT we don’t necessarily achieve the results we want!
How often has this been true for you?
And why does this happen?
Why is it that even if we know what to eat, how to workout, and know all the other “technical” details, there are still so many people who fail to meet their health and fitness goals?
And why does it seem so easy for a small percentage of others?
These are a few questions and concerns I’ve encountered in my years and many people have often asked these same questions.
The reality is that…
97% of people don’t achieve the success they are after!
And one of the biggest reasons why is that they are either not setting goals or not setting their goals properly.
I want you to succeed!
So, to help you out, I’ve put together this video which will give the 2 most important ingredients to goal setting, as well as the step-by-step on how to put them into action!
Enjoy!

I want to have more energy= lose weight be in shape ( round is not the one I am looking for) feel better
Beach body!
I want to be able to lose weight, get back in shape, eat healthy, and have more energy.
I want to avoid knee replacement! The doc won’t even do it until I lose 70 more lbs. but I’m hoping by the time I do that, I won’t NEED the replacement.
I want to achieve a 3:30 marathon.
I want to lose 10 pounds and maintain a healthy weight.
#1 fitness goal at this time is training for my Army Physical Fitness test on Aug.7th at 6:30am. Push ups, Sit ups, and 2 mile run. I am in the Army National Guard and I am scheduled for Aug 7th for my APFT. I have been training but I always worry about passing my test- it is a big thing in my unit and the Army- Medcom. It all depends on that day- you never how you will feel that day- always nervous, but also nauseous, allergies, etc. can make it harder.
I want to establish a healthy sustainable lifestyle which will allow me to be around to see my grandchildren grow up. Long timeframe as my oldest child is now ten! Ibelieve thatmedical advances are such that by the time I’m 80, human lifespans will be much longer than they are today and I want to enjoy my time to the fullest
My #1 health and fitness goal. I’m so excited to wake up each day full of energy and looking and feeling great at 150 lb at my nieces wedding in November.
.
A healthy energetic and sustainable lifestyle amidst my extremely busy routine. I want to live natural and avoid medications at all cost.
I want to find a better way to keep my motivation up. The toughest thing about training is not letting it slide.
I want to defy the aging process for as long as possible. I do not in the least mind BEING older- I will be 53 my next birthday but at the moment people don’t believe it when I tell them and I want it to stay that way. My #1 goal is to die a lot older and way, way healthier than my parents and grandparents did.
I want to get my mindset back to ‘healthy’. Since I met my man, I’ve adopted his terrible eating habits which consists of meat, chips, biscuits and lollies (sweets), very little fruit or vegetables and next to zero exercise – I’ve gained 20 kilos and had a heart attack, yet still can’t seem to get back to the consistent healthy eating and daily walking I used to enjoy before I met him. He’s gained just as much weight and now has a spinal problem as well as having had a heart attack too – yet the biscuits and lollies(sweets) are still a major craving we give in to! Neither of us is stupid (although I have a hard time believing that when I see what we’re doing to ourselves) and I’ve certainly done enough research to know how to turn things around before it’s too late – hubby hates vegetables, but will eat some salad, which is a start. About the only good thing we’ve done for ourselves is both stopped smoking a few years back.
I need to lose 15 pounds of belly fat in 3 months because this is the most unhealthy place for a male to carry fat. I’m doing this using weights
Get into “the pants” the way they fit when I lived in LA. (I know the ones.) And to see my abdominals, at least for a little while.
I want to trim my stomach, to reveal my abs.
Hi everyone, I really need to lose at least another 20 to 25 pounds.I find it very difficult to stay on track during the summer months. Too much bar-b-q and cocktails. I will not drink from Sept to Christmas.I did it last year and I will do it again!
I need that push Yuri, need to focus and pursue a healthy life and get on track again. I have been wallowing in pain lately with an inflamed bursa muscle in my right thigh. Weight isn’t helping. Even though my physio does her tricks and gives me relief for a while I am beginning to think the pain will be with me for ever.
I have been reluctant to start your ‘cleanse’ this is why I say I need that push. Since my last birthday I have been feeling really old so loosing weight would be my saviour really. I want my old self back again.
I want a lifestyle change that will help me shed about 50 lbs, improve my health, and give endless energy to workout and enjoy life!
Iwant to lose my excess fluid around my tummy and lower limbs, get back into Bikram yoga, stop having cooked food, enjoy life and exercise everyday
I need to run a half marathon in 1:10:00 on October 24, 2010. I need to use your eating strategies to meet this goal. I have one major set back. I love Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper. I need to kick the habit.
lose my anxiety
I want to be a little leaner than I am…I am on the short side & although my wieght is OK on those charts I still appear a little on the overweight side…need to loose about 5 kilos.
I am heathy and vital! My body is alive and in motion!
Goal: To continue to eat healthily and move past a stuck scale. Over the past few years, I’ve given up meat and lost weight eating raw. With these changes, my cholesterol count has gone from 200+ to 148. I now seem to be stuck at one particular weight with belly fat that doesn’t seem to go away.
My goal is stay heatlhy and fit in order to enjoy all life has to offer. I know too many people that stay home, don’t do anything and don’t enjoy life because of many ailments brought on by obesity.
I have powers! Universal powers they are for any one who look for it at any time and free of charge!
Just on every breath you take feel the power and send them to the areas you want to work!
Try is the most traditional way to meditate keep your eyes open and focus on the breath!
You will feel the universal power!
I want to achieve a healthy weight, be fit and… why not? look gorgeous!!!
Although I exercise three to five times per week,I can’t seem to rid myself of visceral fat over my abdominal area. That would be my number one goal. I have increased my consumption of vegetables and eliminated sugar and reduced my carb intake. This has yielded no results. After much reading on the subject of weight loss (metabolic typing, no carb diets, etc.) desperation has set in. Not looking for a magic pill, just a solution that works.
I want to be healthy and have alot of energy. I want to feel confident about the way I look and not always stress about how big my legs are.
My goal is to drop 25 lbs. but I feel that Ihave been setting goals that are not realistic for me. I was reminded a few days ago that it took five years to get to the weight I’m now at a rate of 5 lbs gain per year. I don’t want to take 5 years to lose the weight. I may have to set a goal of one to three lbs. par month or somethig in that range. During my management trainig I wast thaught that “goals must be reasonable, acheivable and realistic with a time limit and that we need to know our limitations.” I feel tnat this venting may just get me back on track.
Thanks, Yuri, for the emails, videos, your enthusiasm, and those Treadmill Trainer workouts … terrific! Overall, I’m happy with where I am but, like at least a couple others who have posted, I would *really* like to get rid of belly fat. Overall I am a good weight, healthy and fit (even though my kids are your age), but so far nothing shrinks that belly fat! Sooo annoying.
I am a personal trainer and just got out of my business. I would now love to get fit and thin myself… after giving away my energy to all my clients, I am struggling to get motivated myself.
i’m almost where i need to be but still some stubborn lower ab fat, i will continue my circuit workouts and interval cardio sessions and i will burn that fat
I need to be in shape and happy with how I look – and I want to be able to do this without having to think about it 24/7!
To have a reserve of energy and strenght as well as increase my overall sense of well being.
Thanks for the realistic video!
shredded body with six pack abs!
Type 2 diabeties is in my family and my medico has not been happy with my blood sugar levels for too many years. I’m not diabetic (yet) and I don’t plan to be. My goal is therefore to maximise my lean muscle mass and to minimise my % body fat.
I want a body i feel comfortable with. More or less that means a beach body. I also feel very winded and very tired quickly whenever i play any sports even though i am not in terrible shape- just belly fat!
My number one goal is to successfuly lose weight, live a healthy lifestyle, as an energetic senior that is living life to its fullest and an example to others.
I just need to lose that last 10 or so pounds!
My #1 Fitness goal : June 30th, 2011 (my 56th Birthday) I have successfully lost my 70lbs. I am eating a process-free, organic food plan and I’m feeling great!! My 5’1″ frame is straight ,strong, firm & energized!! My life is good & I’m physically & mentally the best I’ve ever been!! I’m up early each morning exercising and I have one day each week that’s my “cheat day”. My family is amazed at my accomplishments.
I am ahead of the weight game in life, staying thin until I became depressed because I can’t get my hubby to exercise with me, like walk, or play tennis on the weekends, or dance and I was 122# and wondered why he didn’t compliment me. Married 4 years and never hearing a compliment from him, but from any other guy who happened to look my way took me into depression as he is the ONE who I want compliments from! I crumbled and sat and ate anything and have gained 20# for the first time. Trying to find my lost motivation! I want back into my closet of nice clothes!! I refuse to buy larger sizes!! Help! Thanks~
Hey Debra, I understand you wanting your husband’s acknowledgement but I think YOU need to acknowledge how amazing you are. I think once you do that he might respond differently. Also, feel free to express yourself to let him know how you feel.
I want to lose 30 pounds and feel like I used to. I don’t want to feel sluggish anymore after moderate activity.
Hello Catherine, I just turned 59 and am 5’4″ and 143#~I am miserable. I eat pretty well but adding junk calories too often at lunch w/a friend. Please tell me what your strategy diet is, please! You sound like you have it going on and I’d like to join you!!
If you can?
Congratulations!!
Love & Friendship~
Hey,I want to be more flexible without getting injured for a long time to come.I’m 53 now and do a tactical workout everyday with some stretching.I get my cardio ,maybe I need a little more stretching and a better diet, because I am sore.
My #1 Fitness goal is to run faster than I have ever before and be able to keep a fast pace during my long distance runs without feeling too puffed out !!! To come 1st at cross-country local races and not 2nd all the time!!!. I am very fit and have a strong core but I need to improve mentally as well.
my goal is to lose belly fat. I am a hard worker, and i have been running like crazy at least 4 times a week, but it doenst seem to help me. I also dont eat junk. I is frustrating to work har and not see result, but i am not giving up.
I did basically just what you are doing now for a whole year. HIIT sprints. My running is much much better and my calves are fairly ripped but since joining a gym 3 weeks ago and following yuri’s suggestions on workouts, I can see results beginning to show in the areas I’ve really been wanting: the waistline.
Getting comfortable with my sprint interval training was a good start, I’m mixing both gym and running into a weekly routine.
I suppose my ultimate goal should be more attainable since all that i want is to finally get rid of the flab around my stomach. Not proper ripped six-packs, not a herculean physique. just reduce the flab situation to a minimum. I’ve been wanting that for over 14 years.
Yuri’s been my best help so far!
my #1 goal is to exercise consistently (i have a really hard time staying motivated so i don’t always fit exercise into my crazy schedule).
I have just arrived at day 14 in your cleanse. I feel amazing and have lost a significant amount of weight. I have been having difficulty incorporating the exercise component so my goal is to be more active and loose the excuses.
How’s this….
I am so happy and grateful that I have the time and energy for physical activity every day!
Great advice. I’m writing my goal now. I’m so happy that I’ve lost the 4 kilos I was wanting to lose and that I’m now able to see the muscle definition below the fat.
make a list of pros and cons if you have more cons then pros go back and answer each cons and understand why you want to change it to a pro then youll have a list of pros youll fell enpowered and youll be more positive about what you want to do and undersatnd what was holding you back
My #1 fitness/health goal is to be able to properly achieve a balance between pushing myself and over doing it. I want to be able to push my limits and see greater results in my fitness and weight management efforts without letting the work take over my life and become too time-intrusive or too overwhelming. Mental fitness and clarity with peace of mind and less stress is also important to overall health and fitness, and sometimes I struggle with finding a correct balance.
Today, December 8 2010 (my 39th birthday) I am weighting 130 pounds and feel better than ever: Healthy, full of energy, positive and successful. I do regular exercise, and I eat healthy 80% of the time.
My #1 goal? I guess it would have to be to do an Ironman someday.
My 1# goal is to be healthy and full of energy.
My goal is to have a flat ab. I quit smoking and drinking a year ago. I walk 4-5 day a week for 3hours. I lost 12 pounds within a month and half. I feel great, but i still have to focus on eating healthy.
Your advice and training is great. i am new to affiliate marketing, but i am promoting you total wellness program.Today I handed 100 copies of advertisement for total wellness program.I also promote it on you tube, twitter and face book. i hope i earn commission one day. i live in Ottawa. I am proud to be Canadian. believe you are too.
Thank you for the motivation to write down my goals and share them with my husband to keep me accountable. It’s exactly what I need to keep me active with my work out plan and my healthy eating.
Love your passion Yuri! Also love the color of your shirt today:)
Your dog looked like she was thinking…WHO is he talking to?!
My goal is to lose enough weight to get into size 3 jeans and be able to get into a bikini. I also would love to have more energy and physical and mental endurance when it comes to high intensity activities. I know what I’m doing at the gym and boxing but don’t seem to get any results after years of working out. Sometimes I feel like I’m meant to be the way I am and nothing can change that.
My #1 goal is to be consistent with pursuing whatever goal I set. I realize instead of trying to lose 100 lbs. I will strive to lose 7 lbs by Aug. 19th. This is a very realistic and measurable burning desire.
I have lost five pounds but would really like to lose ten more. I just can’t seem to find the time to exercise regularly.
I will be able to perform a 1 minute handstand, drop it down into Bakasana (crow pose) for a minute and back up to a handstand with ease.
I want to be completely healed from my back surgery, free of pain from my back, and regaining the full sensation and use of my spinal cord, so I can get more involved with personal and family activities.
I am thrilled that on August 30, my 56th birthday, I have a 28 inch waist with rock-hard, six pack abs. I have a lean, hard, muscular body. I feel fit and strong and enjoy perfect health. I am positive, enthusiastic and have boundless energy.
To run a half marathon October 3rd and a full Marathi January 11th. While losing 50 pounds in the process.
Yuri Im not going to lie…I love who I am on the inside…so my goal is to let my outside shine and sparkle just as much as it does on the inside
I want my friends and family to see first hand that hard work is its own reward…and that when i put my mind to something…I can acheieve my goal…ok ok I also want a body like Halle Barry…but who doesn’t?…hey at least im honest..LOL…on a more serious note…I think I owe it to myself to be the best that i can be…instead of wishing i had a great body…that power is in MY hands…so if i want it…i can have it…and guess what?….Im so there
you are truly an inspiration…THANK YOU
I want to start atleast to an outline of my abdominal muscles and to be able to run 5k without over excerting myself. , in about two max 3 months…..
Just listened to your goal setting video, don’t fully agree. Some people use food as a drug. They don’t know who they are and have self loathing; no amount of goal setting will overcome this if they don’t learn to love who and what they are. If they manage to loose weight it never stays off because they haven’t found out why they turn to food to make there life better. Some people need a lot more than just setting a goal.
My goal is to be 120 lbs by the end of this year. I am now 142. The reason is I have a small frame and carrying around the extra weight is hard on me and my body. When I am lighter I feel so much better, more alive, and have so much more energy. I will be 55 this year. I am a bit of a health nut. I value taking the best care of myself so I can be my best and give my best. I eat really well and am committed to doing at least some exercise at least five days a week. I know the more often I exercise the easier it gets until I am loving it and want even more. I love feeling healthy, energetic, and alive.
To be lean, and live a healthy, happy, energetic life
To lose 25 pounds. I’m halfway there.
I would like to be more self-confidence.
I want to reach this by lifting as hard as I can, eat like a horse and sleep like a baby!
It would be my dream to be in shape my whole life but furst I have to bulk up and gain muscles because I was very skinny with no muscles when I started working out.
Excuse me for my lack of English, I’m dutch.
My goal is to be strong enough to do my work without beeing worn out every day. To get more energy to do things i am dreaming about to do.Be able to do work in my house and garden after a working day – not allways delay it until I get a holiday. To increase my vitality and stay healthy. To get my bloddpressure back to normal and loose 20kg and feel well with my appeance and clothes.
Yes, what I want is to stop allowing stress to control facets of my mind, body, and energy which affects by thoughts and perceptions of reality. I want to be able to detox naturally and find myself as a strong, confident and loving person. By living right, thinking right and loving the right way ….. to be healthy in a balanced way.
I have that problem getting up early to fit in runs before work. Still working on it and determined to use that early morning time better. Video really helped me see that I am vague about why I want to be fitter and loose some weight. I have written down a list of why’s and its more concrete. Think it really is why when things are tough I loose focus and this will help.
I want to be in the best possible health and continue to not need doctors as I get older. I want to maintain my present weight of 112 pounds – which I know I will do as I’ve never been overweight. I want to enjoy fitness and health, as well as total independence, for the rest of my life.
My goal is to have a lifestyle of health and be full of energy. I want to have enough energy to carry me through the day and not take an early evening nap anymore. I want to lose 5% body fat to get me into the single digits to get a six pack, which to most people is sign of fitness and health. My major goal is to be a role model to others and lead them to health also. I have been doing that work. Peope noticed when I lost 20lbs and dropped 6% body fat and have a flat stomach. People would approach me and always how I achieved this. I always tell them it’s all in what you eat and don’t eat and encourage them to eat healthy.
I used have the skinny fat syndrome, because of certain foods got me bloated, like white bread and white bread. I eliminated that from my diet and no longer get bloated. I don’t drink coffee no more, quit 6 months ago, have more energy now, don’t have that afternoon tiredness and no longer have headaches. Don’t drink soda pop anymore either, chemical in them are cancerous and the acid in them, especially coke, destroys the tooth enamel. Elimanted candies and pasteries, stay clear away from processed sugars, which are only a yeast and bacteria feed for the body and the catalyst for created diseases in our body. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge, which was confirmation of what I knew and read years ago, but never really put into practice. Many of us know what’s and have the knowledge, but don’t really try, because we think it’s really hard to do so. It’s not that hard just takes discipline. We can all do it and reap the benefits. Thanks Yuri for being a role model and leader of health to follow. You are the best and honest fitness coach.
I want to be in a size 10 in ALL my clothes and break 150 lbs on my scale by September 1, 2010!!
I want to lose the last 10 lbs. I’ve been on a plateau for almost a year!
I want to keep my weight (what is actually not a big problem for me). So apart from most goals in these comments I just want to get in a got shape. It turned out that I feel better when I’m fit because my heart is a litty weak sometimes, so I keep it trained. Also I feel more selfconfident.
Secondly I like to have the ability to reach goals which seem to be privileged just to professionals. Like yesterday I thought wether I could do a halfmarathon – so I did. And now I’m really proud and happy that I “survived” it.
I want to lose my abdominal fat . I’m quite slim apart from the layer of fat arond my abdomen. I want to lose this because I will feel so much better about myself – both mentally ( I will look better) and equally because I wil believe I am healthier. I am 56 and want to enjoy the second half of my life in good health, staying fit and active , and feeling attractive.
My goal is to ward of disease so that I am able to enjoy a long life in optimum health and the happy by-product are comments like “you look too young for 54″, lol.
I am currently 57 years old and my overall goal is to be strong and healthy enough to remain living in my own home for as long as possible. In addition, because I have lupus I am required to take medication that has deleterious side effects when taken longterm. One of those side effects is osteoporosis [diagnosed 2 years ago] so I am extremely motivated to do strength training to counteract this condition. For cardio, I am presently training to walk a half marathon next spring and find it difficult to leave my bed at 5:45 to stay on track with my walking schedule….
I want to be strong and lean for ALWAYS! I want to be CONSISTENTLY healthy, happy and strong
my goal is to be strong and healthy enough to take care of my husband! he is total care due to his muscular dystrophy and needs to be lifted. strength! thats what i want. oh, and loving the dog snuggled up on the couch behind you. sure fire way to get me to pay attention to a video haha!
I want to be able to run more than 3 min without getting out of breath..
I have been training to be an alphabioticist. My number one goal at this time is to get in shape and stay in shape so I can be the best alphabioticist I can be.
On August 8th I am thrilled that I am a healthy 127 pounds, that I have kept up with my Pilates, increased the intensity of my dog walks and decreased the amount of sugar in my diet so that when I water ski at Lake Powell this week I am not easily fatigued. My eating habits are an inspiration to my houseboat guests.
I want better health for myself and my husband, who quit smoking and is struggling to get the weight off he has put on in the last 10 months. we are both slipping in our eating and health. I need more energy to keep up with my 5 grandkids!
Thanks to everyone for your amazing contributions. Every time you leave a comment, I read it – no matter how many. It’s really important for me to learn more about what makes you tick so that I ca better serve you – so thanks so much for taking the time and putting your goals out there.
I know you will ALL achieve them if you’re following the right plan.
And we crushed the 75-comment mark so congratulations!
Keep the comments coming as I know a lot of you are finding them very useful and inspiring!
Can you tell us the surprise “I’ve got a special suprise for you if we get at least 75 comments!”
Hey Chris,
I sent that via email a few weeks ago. I guess you missed it. Sorry.
I’m happy that I am eating healthy and I am consistent with my physical activity.
To lose about 30lb and with it my tummy fat.
More energy, feel better about myself.
I am a busy man and can do lots of things in my retired life.
My no. 1 goal is to overcome my constant back pain due to 4 crushed vertebra. Painkillers work for some days only.
Hey Yuri, I have been part of your community for over 2 years now but unfortunately am still about 60lbs over the weight I want to be! I followed TT and ran a half marathon in aid of charity but things sloped off after that! I followed your total wellness cleanse last year after a very bad dose of food poisoning from Egypt, I liked some of the stuff and still make some of the recipes but it was not for me long term! I also had the fitter U programme but suspended my membership as I was not keeping up with the training. All this sounds gloom and doom BUT I am beginning to bridge the gap between the knowing and the doing! I had a look at the DSP with your friend Isabel De Los Rios and it is more for me as it includes meat. I have learned from that also that I don’t need to change EVERYTHING over night. I am making changes gradually so I stick with them. I have stuck to the breakfasts on DPS and have changed my snacks so I now have some protein (nuts or seeds) fruit & veg, yes all three, as one snack! I am so full! If I have a busy morning the first thing I want now is some carrot sticks not the usual sugary snacks I used to opt for. I have also cut out milk and only drink water or fruit infusions instead of milky sugary tea! In fact I find I don’t like the tea that I used to crave! What I have told myself is that there is no quick fix, and I am made of many parts so I’ll fix me a bit at a time. I have stuck to a 2 week training programme from my fitness magazine Zest and now I will be doing a different 4 week one, it combines resistance and intervals just like you say. This will take me up to my summer holiday and when I get back it’s fitter U & TT again for me! My best friend died this year (6th Jan) she was only 41 and taken from us suddenly; so it has been hard for me to get motivated, but I am to be a gran next January and my son is also getting married next year so I am now motivated to be a young healthy gran with bags of energy to be fun for the baby and to look alike a fabulous mother -of-the-groom! Your video’s and e-mails keep me in touch with where I want to be and I will get there! So, I want to say a HUGE thank you for the time and energy you give to help people like me(here in the UK).
Thanks a lot Lynne. Just keep your head up and keep on moving forward. Finding what works best is half the battle and I’m sure you’ll be where you want to be in no time!
Hi Yuri. A very well structured and thought through presentation my man! I especially like the way you break a realtively esoteric concept down into practical, easy-to-assimilate processes.
i want a six pack been trying for 20 years
i am aiming to start your 12 week eating for energy plan in a few weeks when my youngest starts nursery, but my current goal is to kick the chocolate and reduce things gradually.
Hey Yurie, I’m really enjoying your videos (and love seeing your dogs in the background)! I have a question for you. I was finishing our a very stressful job over a period of about 2 years. My workouts slowed down because my energy was so drained. I also seemed to start “the change”. Started having hot flashes, started wearing reading glasses and worst of all, gained 25 pounds. Now, I’ve left that job, have finished my training as a Massage Therapist, getting to work out of my home and am loving life. However, I am having trouble getting the weight off for the first time in my life. I totally agree with setting realistic goals but I’m struggling with what is realistic at 46 years old. I have no more excuses now,,,,, I’m ready to do this! By the way, I’m trained in the CHEK Exercise Coach & Holistic Lifestyle Coach programs. So, I know what to do, it’s just figuring out what my body can do now that I’ve experience some changes. :>) Thanks a bunch!!
Janice, you can achieve whatever goals you want. Just realize that it might be a bit tougher if you’re going through peri-menopausal like symptoms. Understand that the body changes as you age but you can still hit your goals. You might just have to pay a little closer attention to the little details.
Hmm… my number one fitness goal is to stay active and healthy as long as I’m here on this planet. I guess one way of achieving this is to set goals and not “fall asleep” and then I will reap the benefits of a life well lived.
More specifically, I also long to rise early and do my workouts…to no avail. There was a brief period in my life when I had a running partner and we did morning runs however the routine was easily lost as my natural desire is to enjoy the quiet late evening and rise when I wake up. For me now that tends to lead to sloppy living and not a life well lived.
I’ve written down some motivating factors for rising early and will meditate on these for enlightenment. I guess I shouldn’t expect to be joyful at first as there is a scripture that says, for the time being no discipline brings joy but will eventually yield the peaceable fruit of rightousness or right living.
Looking fwd to meeting this fitness goal of rising early (I think
I have already lost 25 lbs. but hit a plateau. My goal is to lose 25 more. I am 77 yrs. old and in pretty good shape. I try to take care of any ailment or problem naturally. Not on any medications. I want to keep strong and active so I don’t have to go to a nursing home before my time. I really enjoy all of your lessons. They are an encouragement to me.
To run a half marathon in 1:35
I want to have energy for more than the first 3hrs in the day..!!! if I don’t get my workout done in the morning I am scuppered for the rest of the day. I NEED to improve my fitness and fit my clothes better.
To maintain excellent health and fitness well into age 80 and beyond.
I want to lose weight, be healthy and avoid the health problems of my parents.
Hi Yuri,
I need to keep weight off for health reason, HBP, sl elevated cholesterol, three bellies, love handles spider veins in my legs and edema both ankles.
I am going to be so fit and healthy that running in front of people won’t make me want to cringe because I can feel my jiggle! Here’s to that day!! (clinks glass of green juice against computer screen….carefully of course!)
I am on my way to remission after thyroid cancer (total ablation of thyroid) and I want to lose weight and be strong again. Not having a thyroid would seem to make losing weight impossible, but I hear great things about interval training. I have done other programmes with absolutely NO success (weight gain and more inches)! Would interval training help someone whose entire metabolism comes from a pill?
Lose 50 pounds by July 1, 2011, so I am healthy and here for my family.
I want more ENERGY!! I have 2 small children and am suffering from a burnout. I NEED energy to be able to cope with the daily chores of life and to be able to take care of my kids.
I know this might be tough to do Diane but are you taking time out for yourself on a daily basis? A few minutes to sit and breathe, workout, or something to relax.
