Hi Yuri I just stared Eating for Energy on week ago, but I’m so surprise to see so much nut, seed and coconut oil and nut butter. Is that going to be ok for my body? Thank you for all you do for us. I love your book, is one of the best book, together with 80 10 10 with Dr Graham, with the diference that he only sugest fruit and vegetables only. I already expirience a whole lots better on my body. No more hot flashes, the pain on my joint are a lots better. That only with six weeks of fruit and vegetables. I cant wait to see what I’m going to feel with Eating for Energy. Thanks.

I ove your messages. I just start running 3 weeks ago and i use a interval start routine. This morning i did 10 minutes walking and 3 minutes running and repeat this 3 times with 1 minute recovery. afterwards 10 minutes walking again. So I’m active 31 minutes. But after 3 weeks i still have sheensplit pain. (i asked already a question on your FB) i saw the you tube answer. I have special shoes and from the docter speciaal things to put in mine shoes. Today i got some tubesocks from the feat docter.

Do you think averybody can run? i think i’m too have to run. But i see people who are havier then me running. I used to be a kickboxer but cannot do that anymore so i’m looking for a change.

I realy enjoy your posts and i’m happy to have find your site. Keep up the good work.

Greetings all the way from Holland.

Yes, I believe that everyone can run but we all have different feet and running mechanics and that’s where I would recommend starting. Get the right shoes for your feet and have an expert analyze your gait.

What happens if your aim is to be able to run for say 8 hours. Non stop. Ive been watching a lot of stuff on kilian journet so i want to give running slowly but for a full day a go. Means more time outdoors :)

Or will this also improve the bodys ability to run for longer ?

    Thanks again

I would highly advise against doing so. You’ll destroy your body in the process.

Hey mate, my name is Chris from Australia, love your channels and advice. I was wondering what your advice was on “Spirulina tablets”. I have started taking them. Not sure if you have answered this already. Thanks for your support and help much appreciated : )

I prefer the powder itself but if the tablets work for you then that’s great.

    Hi Yuri,

I’ve tried several times to start running and I always get shin splints! I have had gait analysis, orthotics, the right shoes and I still get them. I am overweight by 60lbs so I don’t know if this is the culprit but I see people who are much heavier than me running. do you have any recommendations??

By the way, I love what you’re doing!

Thank you so much!!! I’ve had a bad knee for almost my whole life and after last year I quit running because it hurt so much afterwards! I feel like it has had a good chance to heal especially with changing my diet and doing some yoga. A few days ago I decided I want to try running again… So this came at a perfect time! Your videos are so awesome and you are helping more people than you even know!!! Thanks again for all of your wonderful tips :)

Hi Yuri! Love all the information. Also purchased your book and it was excellent. Thanks! My question is when I work up to the max upper line on your chart running into one long line and have become advanced, no more interval training right? just one longer run? I thought interval training was best always no matter what your fitness level? I have been running three miles a day with no decrease in effort or increase in speed, but when I have tried interval training in the past it seem like the max effort time was grueling starting up each time and the during the walk time hard to keep up a brisk enough pace. Do you think I was making it too torturous by pushing myself too hard or am I just basically too lazy? Thanks for the help! :o )

Interval training is the BEST form of cardio no matter what your fitness level. I wouldn’t run every day – just 3-4 times per week max. Go as fast as possible for your work intervals and then a jogging pace for recovery. Work that in with your regular runs and you should notice a difference.

    HI Yuri
I bought a treadmill running device since one year ago , I run on it as interval running just for a couple days a week . each a day I run ( 2 min-9 Km per hr speed ,after that 1 min 10.5 Km per hr speed , then 2 min 12 KM per hr speed ) total 5 minutes , then I repeat these circle 5 times , when i finish all these I do cool down 5 min . any way I do interval running 35 min for a couple days a week . is that enough to maintain my fit or not , please give me your advise

Sounds pretty solid to me. Keep it up Ahmed – as long as it’s getting you closer to your goals.

    Hey Yuri,

first of all i would like to thank you for all your tips and the info you put out on this website. :) it is highly apprecaited.
    i had a small question. i run almost 4 days a week.
but at a steady pace (for about 45 mins to an hour usually) and have done so for more than 7 months now.
would the interval training help more or a steady run help more now that i am accustomed to running.
if its the former, what sort of interval and how fast are we talking about.
    thanks in advance

    cheers,
    P

i would absolutely recommend adding in 1-2 interval runs per week. Try doing 20 seconds fast (close to sprinting) and 40 seconds jogging. Do that for 20 minutes and see how you feel. Then work in 1-2 steady state runs throughout the rest of the week.

    Hi Yuri,

I have been watching your vids on YouTube and really enjoy the approach you take to explaining concepts. Very informative.

My question relates to road running. I have noticed that in my 2nd day of running my right leg has started getting sore whilst running.

Is this just my body (legs) taking the pounding for the first time giving me this discomfort?

And is it fair to say after some good rest the discomfort will soon fade as the body gets broken down and recovers? That repair work that I keep hearing about.

Cheers for all the good work,
    Aaron

In general, road running will wear you down faster than trail running. Harder surface = more impact on the body. This soreness should subside as you allow your body a few days to recover and as you become more accustomed to running on that surface. However, I would encourage you to try running on grass or soft trails to vary it up.

Hey Yuri, ever since I started following your guides for how to exercise and eat right, I’ve never felt better. I am about to go on a one day water fast, and I need to know whether or not I should still be drinking tea. In my opinion, tea helps me concentrate and I’d like to know whether or not I should still be consuming tea (and for that matter, tea with honey).
But anyways, you’re a real inspiration and an amazing help. Thanks :)

I’m happy that you’ve found great success so far Joseph. Glad I can help. I have no problem with tea as long as there’s no honey or caffeine during your 1-day fast.

    Hey Yuri,
I am one of your costumers who bought the treadmill trainer intermediate. Enjoyed your speeches. However i want to know how many times a week i should do this exercise. Should incorporate some long time low intensity running too? I am 14 years old and i also want to know if this program might effect my joints in the future..

    Thanks, SAM

I would use the TT workouts no more than 3 times per week. In addition to that you can do one longer, recovery run. Any type of impact activity will have an effect on your joints in the future but it’s impossible to say what type of impact – everyone’s different.
